I wanted to dash out a quick apology for the continuing radio silence on the blog. I have not, as rumored, been taken hostage by a gang of angry denizens of net.wobegon and being held for ransom.
Reality is a lot more boring. A combination of needing to focus on some work stuff, just generally needing a break from things while I figure out a few things around this place and whack at the back end, and ….
… And having run into a bit of an iceberg in that thing called real life that I’ve been digging a tunnel through using a teaspoon. This tunnel seems to finally be breaking through to the far end, but it’s been a long and occasionally very stressful process, and honestly, I just haven’t always had the energy to sit down and write.
Now, of course, we’re deep into “oh my god, it’s almost christmas”, and so rather that I’m going to just worry about the holidays now, and worry about the blog after that. So don’t be surprised if things stay quiet until the new year (or maybe not).
(and I’m scheduled to take some vacation time. of the “not a long weekend chasing geese” type. although I may well go chase some geese during it.)
Lots happening, lots to talk about here on the blog. After. Right now?
Back to deadlines, real and self-imposed. And digging tunnels with teaspoons.
